Simon Everett, Ltd., is seeking international affairs experts to lead the instruction of dynamic short courses that introduce professionals to a particular foreign country or region.
About the opportunity
Each course will cover political, economic, and cultural issues, as well as history and current events. Instructors will work with our team to develop a course syllabus and identify guest speakers to lead discrete modules on particular topics. Instructors must be available to teach the course in the Washington, DC, area several times a year for up to one week at a time.
We are seeking instructors for the following regions and countries:
- Central Asia
- South Asia (excluding Afghanistan, India, and Pakistan)
- East Africa
- Central Africa
- West Africa
- Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific
- Northeast Asia (China, Japan, and Korea)
- Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia
- Poland & the Baltics
The ideal candidate will have intimate regional (or country) knowledge gained through professional experience and/or academic study. Candidates should also have lived in and traveled throughout the region or country. Although it is not mandatory, we prefer that candidates have teaching experience - especially with regard to adult, professional learners. Academics and former US government officials are encouraged to inquire.
