Connor Matteson

Connor Matteson conducts research and analysis to support Simon Everett’s clients in a diverse range of content areas, including technology, trade, and economic development. Before joining the Simon Everett team, Connor interned with a foreign policy think tank, an artificial intelligence software firm, and an international current events newsletter, among other organizations. 

Connor holds a B.A. from Wesleyan University in the College of Social Studies, an interdisciplinary program combining economics, government, history, and social theory. During his time at Wesleyan, he co-founded and led a campus chapter of the John Quincy Adams Society, a national network of student groups dedicated to an American foreign policy centered around a vision of restraint and reduced militarism. His first book, The World As You’ll Live It: A Young Person’s Guide to the Next Thirty Years, was published in 2022.
